Why it is called Wimbledon Datejust?
There are generally two reasons. First, the combination of a slate-grey dial and green-outlined Roman numerals is reminiscent of Wimbledon's iconic grass courts and signature green color scheme. Second, Rolex has served as the Official Timekeeper of The Championships, Wimbledon since 1978. Because of this long-standing relationship, watch enthusiasts gradually began referring to this particular dial design as the "Wimbledon Dial." Rolex also calles it "Slate Dial". So the Datejust with such style of dial is called Wimbledon Datejust.
What is the difference between QF Datejust and VS Datejust?
Like the QF Datejust I introduced before, this Datejust from VS Factory also uses a free-sprung 3235 movement, what is the difference between their movement? Actually the two 3235 movements from each factory are made by two different movement factories. The biggest difference lies two, QF 3235 has weights on the balance, while VS 3235 does not have. Second, VS 3235 free-sprung movement still has a 72-hour power reserve, while QF 3235 only has a power reserve around 50 hours.
